Our Sessions

We design and implement our sessions based upon what you like to do as this gives us an insight as to what you would like to learn and participate in and then we personalise your topics/interests to meet your individual learning needs and aspirations which are constantly reviewed regularly to ensure that the sessions that we deliver meet your needs.

What will happen throughout the session?

Everything that you make or create in our sessions can be taken home when completed to show your friends and family members what you can achieve.

 

1.

Participants will meet our staff and other people who currently attend our sessions and find out what the sessions entail.

2.

Observe our activities and join in on a free taster session; set your own individual learning goals to work towards and achieve.
Grow it.

3.

Complete an individual learning plan as well as various initial assessment activities.

4.

Lunch/Break Times
We provide a free two-course lunch included in the price and we cater for people with any food allergies or special dietary requirements. We provide free drinks for all our participants and their carers throughout the sessions.

Resources

We will plan and design our own handouts using step by step instructions and use various pictorial recipes so our participants are able to achieve their own learning goals and aspirations at their own pace whilst developing and progressing at their own pace.

If our resources are not suitable for some participants we will design and create new ones in order for that person to achieve their own individual learning goals in their own way, at their own pace using differentiated accessible resources to suit their learning needs.

  • Improvement in participants finances through preparing more homemade meals and not on takeaways.

  • Ensure that our participants have the opportunity to progress in their own way at their own pace in their own individual learning style whilst at Motiv8-lancs.

  • Participants will increase their awareness of, and ability to make their own choices that positively contribute to their happiness and well-being.

  • Less frequent accessing of medical services for non-medical conditions due to participants gaining a sense that they are in control of their own lives by making their own choices that lead to good mental and physical health and well-being whilst participating in our sessions.
